Two childhood friends.
One a rising political star.
The other, his fiercely loyal shadow.
Torn apart by love, betrayal,
and a ruthless fight for absolute power.

This is their story.

Prajapathi

The Heir

Prajapathi

Born into the throne of Powerpeta.

Son of the most feared political dynasty in the land. Groomed since birth for a Member of Parliament seat, he has never known a world that did not bend to his family's name.

Power is the only language he was ever taught.

Ravi

The Shadow

Ravi

His brother in everything but blood.

Inseparable since childhood. Unquestioning. Ravi is the shield that walks ahead of Prajapathi into every fight — the loyal hand the dynasty depends on but never thanks.

He would die for his friend. Powerpeta will test exactly that.

Then She Arrived

And for one moment,
Powerpeta felt like a place
where love could live.

Janaki. The daughter of a businessman from outside the bloodline wars. Ravi falls — completely, helplessly. For the first time in his life, he wants something that has nothing to do with the dynasty.

Janaki

The Beloved

Janaki

Gentle. Watchful. Patient.

She enters the story the way spring enters a battlefield — quietly, and against all odds.

But in Powerpeta, no one arrives without a reason. And hers is older than anyone alive remembers.

But no love in Powerpeta
is born free of the past.

To understand what is coming,
you must go back to where
the first blood was spilled.

1967

The Sepia Empire

The Origin

A father's corpse.
A daughter's vow.

After independence, the Zamindar Raja Veer Bahadur moves to shield his estate from the Land Ceiling Act — placing everything in a trust under his teenage daughter's name, on the advice of a brilliant lawyer.

The lawyer demands the land of Powerpeta as his reward. The Raja refuses. He does not live to see the morning.

Pedda Batti

The Original Sin

Pedda
Batti

The lawyer who drew first blood.

Brilliant. Dangerous. Refused once — and once was enough. His betrayal of the Zamindar plants a curse that will haunt Powerpeta across three generations.

Long after he is gone, his bloodline will return to collect.

Malini Devi

The Iron Matriarch

Malini Devi

Eighteen years old, standing over her father's body.

She vows that power will never leave her house. She marries for political gain, wins the by-election, and executes her father's killer the same way he killed him.

The girl dies that night. The dynasty is born. For decades, nothing moves in Powerpeta without her permission.

The Sins of the Past

NEVER STAY
BURIED.

Power Peta is a study of loyalty weaponised — where bloodlines are erased by ambition, and the ultimate cost of the throne is the loss of one's humanity.

1991

The Blood-Rust Present

Chinna Batti

The Patient Hyena

Chinna
Batti

He waited 24 years for this moment.

After his father's assassination in 1967, Chinna Batti retreated into the darkness of Powerpeta. Quietly feeding on hatred, plotting the ultimate strike -- not with a blade, but by sending his educated son back as the District Collector to legally suffocate the Zamindar bloodline.

When that son is murdered in the crossfire, calculated patience snaps. The hyena mobilizes the grieving villagers into a violent mob. Power shifts once again.

The Ghost Returns

Batti Vikram Aditya

The past sends
its grandson.

A new District Collector arrives in Powerpeta — cold, lawful, surgical. He is the grandson of Pedda Batti, and he has come to finish what 1967 started: not with a blade, but with the law.

He exposes Malini's empire. Freezes the trust. Strangles the dynasty legally, just as she prepares Prajapathi for Parliament.

Betrayal and Bloodshed

The fathers die.
The brotherhood bleeds.

The family patriarchs are killed in a suspicious car accident. Ravi — sent to recover incriminating documents — is stabbed by a friend and left for dead.

And while he bleeds, Malini Devi makes her coldest calculation yet: to secure political leverage, she forces Prajapathi to marry Janaki. By the time Ravi returns, the woman he loves wears his brother's ring.

Then Ravi discovers the truth.

Not one betrayal —
two.

Prajapathi revealed

The First Truth

The Poisoned
Heir

Prajapathi orchestrated the fathers' deaths.

His own father. Ravi's father. Both killed on his order — to seize absolute control of the dynasty before his mother could give it away.

The brother Ravi shielded with his body sold him for a throne. Power, Prajapathi admits, was always more important than friendship.

Janaki revealed

The Deeper Truth

The Vengeful
Phantom

Janaki was never just the beloved.

She and her father engineered everything — the Collector's arrival, the marriage, the collapse. Every catastrophe that brought Powerpeta to its knees moved by her hand.

Because in 1967, this land and both its families ruined her mother's life. Janaki did not come to Powerpeta to love. She came to bury it.

The Final Stand

A mother opens the gates.
A mob does the rest.

Malini Devi hears every one of her son's betrayals — and decides the monster she raised is no longer fit to live. She opens the palace gates to the grieving villagers herself.

In the aftermath, unaware of Janaki's true intent, she hands her the throne. The phantom has won everything.

Janaki carries Ravi's unborn child.
She holds the throne he could never touch.

And to save the land they both bled for,
Ravi must stand against her
in the election that will decide everything.

The greatest lovers
become the greatest enemies.

Director's Statement

The Architecture
of Retribution.

Power Peta is not just a story about who holds the power — it is about the blood required to paint it. By pitting two tragic lovers against each other in the final act, we ask the audience: when revenge is fulfilled, what is left of the human soul?
